FAQ

My wedding isn’t until next year. How early should I book?

My answer for this is always the same, and applies to most vendors: As soon as you have found a vendor that you can’t imagine your day without… BOOK THEM! Unfortunately, wedding season is year-round in Mississippi (on top of other large events, such as Mardi Gras, Prom season, etc.), so popular dates can book up to a year and a half out, sometimes. We can always make adjustments later, but let’s get you on the schedule as soon as possible!

Do you have any minimum service requirements?

Short answer: yes. Long answer: I have a 4 person, or $400, minimum for all weddings. If the wedding is located outside of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, it is a 6 person, or $600, minimum. This means, if you do not have enough people to meet the numerical minimum, the difference can be paid to meet the dollar amount, or vice versa. Occasionally, if I already have another wedding or clients scheduled that day, and I can work in a smaller group or single bride around the other appointments, without anyone being rushed, then I will absolutely accommodate you where I can.

I’m ready to book! What is the process?

Great, I’m so excited to work with you! In order to secure your wedding date, I will just need a signed contract returned with a small retainer fee to lock in your date. Once these have been received, you are officially logged in my schedule, and from here, we can talk looks, ideas, concerns, and schedule a trial, if needed. Keep in mind, an inquiry is not a booking. Sometimes, multiple clients inquire about the same date, within the same day/week. Dates cannot be held without a signed contract and retainer.

What is the difference between Airbrush foundation and Traditional Foundation? Is one better than the other?

Both are great and serve their purpose. However, Airbrush traditionally holds up a little better against heat, humidity, sweat, and natural oils – things we experience a lot in South Mississippi! It is also more lightweight on the skin, and photographs better in HD photography. My clients continuously rave about how lightweight Airbrush feels on their skin. Of course, makeup is not “One Size Fits All”, but in my opinion, it’s worth the small price increase!

Do you perform a trial run before the wedding?

I do! Trials are a great way to see how your makeup will not only look, but also perform – did you get oily only 2 hours into the day? Do you want to add a little extra drama? Would you like more contour? Less? The smallest tweaks can make the world of difference on your big day, so while trials are not required, they are definitely recommended! Because trials require the same amount of time, effort, and product, please understand that they are priced at my full rate, or can be included as part of the Elite Bridal Package.

Do you travel on location? If so, how much is your fee?

I am strictly an On Location Artist, so I come to you, wherever that may be – your home, hotel, venue, etc., completely free of charge! This is 100% included in my rate, within my typical service area (the Mississippi Gulf Coast). Weddings or locations outside of the Mississippi Gulf Coast will incur a one-time travel fee calculated based on the round-trip travel distance. Locations further than 2 hours from my starting location will incur additional fees, such as dining and lodging for a minimum of (1) day/night. Please feel free to inquire further for a complimentary quote!

I’m nervous about Covid-19 and sanitation methods. What are you doing to stay sanitary during this time?

I completely understand, and I am right there with you! Cleanliness and sanitation have always been of utmost importance to me. Before and after every client, brushes are thoroughly cleaned and sprayed generously with 70% alcohol; I will be wearing a mask to every appointment; my hands are washed and/or sanitized before and after every client; my station, chair, and the outside of my kit are sprayed and wiped down with a disinfectant spray; and as always, disposable wands and sanitized spatulas are used to scoop out and dispense all cream or liquid products, so that no double-dipping occurs. I ask that any client who is sick, feels sick, or has been exposed to someone who is sick, please stays home and reschedules any appointments with me. Also understand, when deciding to work or attend an event where we are exposing ourselves to other people, there could always be a marginal risk of potential exposure. I will continue to stay safe and educated and ensure the safest environments for my clients and myself.
